Sunday Night Football TV Schedule: Start Time and Channel For Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles NFL Game

Dec 22, 2013 05:51 PM EST

The Chicago Bears are in great position to win the NFC North and after the team won against the Browns last week, they have another crucial road contest against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field and the Week 16 matchup on Sunday night football and the game will be on NBC at 8:30 pm and streaming online from the NFL.com league website and it a game with playoff implications for both teams.

The Eagles will have to win out to win the NFC East division and depending on what happens Sunday, the Bears could have to do the same and that makes the SNF matchup even more important. The Eagles are in position to win the east with the Cowboys winning on Sunday and the Bears play against the Packers next in Week 17 and that game will be at Soldier Field and could be the one that decides the division and the team has been much better on offense this season and with the Eagles giving up nearly 50 points last week, the Bears will be looking to pile on.

The Bears have Jay Cutler under center and the team is looking to get another victory after defeating the Browns on the road last week by a touchdown. The Eagles have the Cowboys on the road next week and the team got over 400 yards passing from Nick Foles last week against Minnesota, but it was not good enough to win and the team is ranked number one in rushing yards per game this season and 10th in passing yards and they have been one of the best offensive teams overall in the NFL.

The Bears have dealt with a number of injuries this season on the defensive side of the ball and here is a report from Reuters.com about the Bears and cornerback Charles Tillman being ruled out for the season and that is a big loss for the team. Chicago Bears cornerback Charles Tillman has been ruled out for the rest of the season after not sufficiently recovering from a torn right triceps, the National Football League (NFL) team said on Monday.

The 32-year-old, a Pro Bowl selection in 2011 and 2012, had been placed on the injured reserve/designated to return list after suffering the injury against the Detroit Lions on November 10.

Tillman was eligible to make his competitive comeback in the second round of the NFL playoffs but Bears coach Marc Trestman told reporters that was no longer an option due to the pace of his recovery.

"It became apparent over time that he wouldn't be available," Trestman said while also discussing Chicago's come-from-behind 38-31 road win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Tillman's contract expires in March, one month after he celebrates his 33rd birthday.

The Bears had looked in danger of losing ground in the tight National Football Conference (NFC) race when trailing 24-17 after three quarters on Sunday before quarterback Jay Cutler tossed three touchdown passes to lead them to victory.

Trestman heaped lavish praise on Cutler, who expertly took the reins back from back-up Josh McCown after missing the previous four games due to a sprained ankle.

"His concern for this team goes much deeper than just himself," Trestman said.

The (8-6) Bears, who sit fourth in the 16-team NFC standings, are next in action on Sunday against the Eagles in Philadelphia. (Reuters)
