Pittsburgh Steelers TV Schedule: Start Time and Channel For Green Bay Packers Game Sunday

Dec 22, 2013 01:49 PM EST

The Pittsburgh Steelers got a huge win last week against the Cincinnati Bengals to stay alive in the playoff hunt and now the team has a matchup with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday in Week 16 and the game will be at Lambeau Field and it was snowing earlier in the day and both teams desperately need the win, as the Packers are still alive for the playoffs and the NFC North division title and the game will be on CBS starting up at 4:25 pm and streaming online from NFL.com.

The Steelers next play against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday in Week 17 of the season and Ben Roethlisberger has the team in a solid position after they started the year with four straight losses and they have been able to salvage things and could finish the season even after losing eight games and they have lost two of the past three coming into the matchup on Sunday afternoon. The weather in Green Bay is very cold and while the snow is supposed to let up, it should remain in the area and both teams are looking to get the W on Sunday. The Packers have remained in the hunt without Aaron Rodgers and now Matt Flynn will have to get things done again.

The Packers came back from a huge deficit against the Cowboys last week and the game was another embarrassment for Dallas and the team comes in with a top 10 ranked offense and the running game has been performing very well with Eddie Lacy and while the defense hasn't been great, they have come through when needed, including last week with two huge interceptions off Tony Romo. The Packers come in having won the past two games without Aaron Rodgers and while they only got a tie over ive weeks with all losses without him, they remain in the mix against the Steelers and they are hoping the Bears and Lions lose in Week 16 as well.

The Steelers are getting a bit of break in this game with Aaron Rodgers out and the team need a ton of stuff to go their way to stay alive, with like five teams needing to lose and they also need the Jets to defeat the Cleveland Browns and their only way in is to have a four or five team tiebreaker of their way. Here is more on the game from Reuters.com and about Rodgers getting ruled out of the contest.

The Green Bay Packers' push for a playoff spot will continue without Aaron Rodgers after the All-Pro quarterback remained sidelined with a broken collarbone, the National Football League team said on Friday.

Rodgers will miss his seventh consecutive game because of the injury, leaving backup Matt Flynn under center on Sunday when the Packers host the Pittsburgh Steelers in a game that has playoff implications for both teams.

"As an organization we feel we are not ready for him to play. He is not medically cleared," Packers head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters.

"Everything has been explained, but he obviously wants to play. The kid has played with injuries. He's a tough guy. He's done everything he possibly could to try to get back on the field."

Green Bay can claim their third consecutive NFC North title and a playoff berth by beating Pittsburgh on Sunday and the division-leading Chicago Bears (8-6) on December 29. (Reuters)
