Champions League Group Tables: Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona Lead UEFA UCL Standings

The UEFA Champions League is back in action on Wednesday and the UCL had some great matches on Tuesday with Manchester City stunning Bayern Munich and now Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona are leading group tables as play starts up again later today.

Chelsea comes in after a disappointing Premier League performance, while Arsenal has been playing well in all leagues and they are a team to watch out for going forward. Bayern Munich and Manchester City now each have 15 points heading into the big stretch of the schedule down the line and that came after a great performance from Man City and a stunning upset on Tuesday. Arsenal is tops by three points and they will be playing a Group F match on Wednesday with Napoli, while Borussia Dortmund will try and close the gap against Marseille.

Chelsea has a one point lead over FC Basel and that makes their match on Wednesday against Steaua Bucuresti at Stamford Bridge even more important and the club is looking to get back on track after some tough performances and results. Atletico Madrid is ion control of Group G with a nice lead, while Barca is tops over AC Milan in Group H with 10 points and with Milan having eight, their match against Ajax Amsterdam becomes crucial, while Barcelona plays against the bottom team in the group in Celtic on Wednesday.

Coming out of play on Tuesday, Manchester United is still tops in Group A over Bayer Leverkusen by four points and the win over Shakhtar Donetsk eliminated the club from advancing to the next round. Real Madrid continued to play very well and they now have five wins and 16 points and are leading over Galatasaray, Juventus and FC Copenhagen and they are through to the knockout round already as well.

Paris Saint-Germain is up three on Olympiakos in Group C and both clubs are fighting for position after PSG dropped the match on Tuesday to Benfica. PSG saw the first goal of the match from Edison Cavani, but the team allowed two from Benfica and they lost 2-1 on the day and now the gap is closer, as Olympiakos was able to get a nice win after three goals from Javier Saviola. Real Madrid won 2-0 over Copenhagen and they got goals from their stars, as Luka Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo scored for the team and Ronaldo also had a penalty shot that he missed.

Manchester United got a goal from Phil Jones that was enough to win, while Ömer Toprak scored for Bayer Leverkusen in their victory over Real Sociedad. Manchester City had a huge victory away against Bayern Munich after getting goals from David Silva, Aleksandar Kolarov and James Milner and those all came in a row, including two in the second half after the team went down 2-0 and that was the biggest match of the day and makes things very interesting in group D going forward.
