College Football Scores Saturday: Florida State Seminoles ACC Championship and Big 10 Updates and Play-By-Play

Dec 07, 2013 08:54 PM EST

The Florida State Seminoles and Duke Blue Devils are playing the ACC conference championship game on ABC on Saturday night live from Charlotte and the two teams are going at it tough and Jameis Winston and company are looking to get into the national championship game with a win and they will play Ohio State if they can get into it.

The Seminoles have won all 18 games against Duke and this time around it's the most important one of them all, as a national title appearance is on the line and the team has not been in that position in years and as teams fell ahead of them in the BCS they positioned themselves as the number one team in the nation and with Alabama losing, if they went undefeated a BCS title appearance was certain. The game on Saturday night between the Seminoles and Duke starts at 8 pm on ABC from Charlotte.

The Seminoles are heavy favorites, but Duke is playing hard to start and after a turnover the team has the Noles on their heels a bit, but that may not last and the team has to pull out all the stops and leave everything on the field to have any chance to win on Saturday night. This would be by far the biggest upset of the season, possibly even more than Auburn over Alabama in surprise at the way that ended, and Anthony Boone will have to have the game of his life to win in a matchup with Jameis Winston and that will be nearly impossible to do, but head coach David Cutcliffe will have his team ready if anyone can do it. The Seminoles defense is intense and ranks first in points against with just 11 per game, while the offense is up over 50 points per game.

The Seminoles are the highest ranked defense in scoring in the nation and their offense is very productive, gaining over 500 total yards per game and Winston has been front and center and now that his rape issues are over, he likely will win the Heisman Trophy and the team is ranked 14th in passing yards per game with 321 per contest. The team comes in after a huge win over Florida and now the team has the chance to win the ACC title after Winston won player of the year and FSU is looking to get into the national championship at the Rose Bowl in the BCS.
