The New York Giants and Washington Redskins have been two of the most disappointing teams in the NFL this season and on Sunday night football in Week 13 they will get the chance to play each other for the bottom of the NFC East and the game starts up on NBC at 8:30 pm from FedEx Field and has Eli Manning and Robert Griffin III facing off in a divisional matchup.

The Giants had won four games in a row before falling to the Dallas Cowboys last week and while they were in slight contention for the division title, that appears to be out of reach, but they can remain alive for a winning season with a victory on Sunday night and with the way Eli Manning has been playing, that is no sure thing. Manning has just 14 scores this season and plenty more interceptions and now he faces off against one of the worst defenses in the league in the Redskins and if the Giants can't get things together now, they really aren't doing anything in the back stretch. The team opened with a six game losing streak before winning four in a row and then the Giants lost to the Cowboys last week in a tough game at home and now they will battle another division rival on the road in the Redskins and they will make the return trip to New York for the final game of the season in Week 17. The Redskins have been in disarray and they need this win to get things back on track.

Andre Brown has come in and given the Giants a legitimate rushing attack with over 300 yards already on just 69 carries to average over four yards per rush and the team has been getting plenty of production from Victor Cruz as well, as he has 60 catches for 850 yards and four scores this season and he has made up for the poor play of Hakeem Nicks, who hasn't done much all year. The Giants defense appears to be greatly improved since starting off 0-6 and the team is now ranked in the top 10 against the run and that will be a main focus on Sunday night, as the Redskins are one of the best rushing teams in the league and that will be a tough matchup on both sides. The team is ranked 16th in passing yards allowed per game and the Giants are still looking to play their first solid game of the year and it could come on Sunday night against the Skins in a very important divisional matchup.

The Giants have a tough schedule to finish the season with the Redskins and then the San Diego Chargers on the road and then the team hosts the Seattle Seahawks in a crucial matchup. The Giants then travel to play against the Detroit Lions on the road and then finishes the season at home against the Redskins. Washington comes into the game after a very tough defeat against the Niners and that was the first time Griffin did not have his team score a touchdown in a game and now the schedule gets tough for the Skins after playing the Giants, as they have the Kansas city Chiefs next on the docket and that could be another tough matchup at home.

The Redskins come in ranked first in the league in rushing yards and while Griffin has been struggling, the team has continued to use the run effectively and they are giving up a ton of yards in the air and that could mean a solid game from Eli Manning. The game on Sunday night is on NBC for Sunday night football and starts up at 8:30 pm from FedEx Field for the Washington Redskins and New York Giants.
