NFC Playoffs Standings Week 12: Seahawks and Saints Locks As New York Giants Make East Division Interesting

Nov 18, 2013 12:24 PM EST

The NFL schedule is moving into Week 12 and while there is a game still to be played on Monday night football, playoff races are getting set and it looks like the Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints are locks to make it into the postseason.

The Seahawks won against the Minnesota Vikings to improve to 10-1 on the season and now they have a nice lead over the Niners, who they have beaten already, while the Saints are looking good in the South, although the Panthers could change that with a win on Monday night. The Saints won over the 49ers and the Panthers still have two games against the Saints, while the Seahawks have to travel to San Fran for a game in a couple weeks coming out of their bye and after they play the New Orleans Saints.

The NFC North is getting interesting with the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears tied atop the division, while the Packers are 5-5 right behind those two teams. The East division is getting interesting with the Eagles, Cowboys and Giants up near the top and with New York winning four games in a row since starting 0-6, they have a chance to make a run.

Best bets: Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints

Close but not locks but very likely: Carolina Panthers, Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers

Right there to do it: Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles

Long shot, but why not: New York Giants
