The New York Giants started off the season with six straight losses after having playoff expectations and since then the team has not lost and now they will put that streak on the line on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, as the NFC rival comes to MetLife Stadium for a game starting up at 4:25 on FOX and streaming from the NFL and this was the game that was flexed out by NBC on Sunday night.

The Giants come in trying to make the most of their terrible start and they are getting lucky that Aaron Rodgers will be out for the game and the Packers will be starting third string quarterback Scott Tolzien and that is a lucky break for a New York team that hasn't had too many of those this season. The team comes in after winning over the Oakland Raiders and while it wasn't very pretty, it was a win and now the team has won three games in a row after dropping their first six and the defense has been playing very well, adding a blocked punt and a touchdown last weekend against the Raiders and on top of that the team finally got running back Andre Brown in the lineup after he was injured in the preseason and he came through right away with over 100 yards in the game and that was crucial for a team with one of the worst rushing attacks in the NFL.

The Packers had been playing very well before losing Rodgers and while they still remain in playoff contention, they need to rebound after losing two straight games and one of those was on Monday night football against the Chicago Bears before losing last week to the Philadelphia Eagles and making those two losses even worse was the fact that both were at home. The team has hit their streak at a perfect time, as they have not needed to travel much over the past month and that has coincided with their winning ways and now they have a chance at another home victory before playing the Dallas Cowboys next week in a crucial division matchup. The team has three straight home games on the schedule and they have not had to travel much, because they got their first win of the season at home on Monday night football, which was after a Thursday night game to give them a long week and then the team played on the road in Philly, which is not very far from New Jersey and then after that win the team stayed home for the bye week, which came before three straight home games to give the Giants a very nice stretch to rebound with.

The schedule doesn't always do teams favors, but getting the Packers without Rodgers was a lucky break and now they will have to make the most of it and after playing Green Bay, the next two weeks the team plays against the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins and if the team has any chance at actually getting back into things, they have to win those two games and after that the team plays a very tough stretch starting with the San Diego Chargers on the road and that's always a boo fest, as the fas always give Eli Manning a hard time. The Seattle Seahawks will visit the team in Week 15 for a very big matchup and then the team has to travel to play the Detroit Lions and then they finish with the Washington Redskins.

The Green Bay Packers visit the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on Sunday starting up at 4:25 pm on FOX.
