So the Cardinals are receiving good news from their camp. Not only is Michael Wacha taking the mound, but Carlos Beltran will be playing today. His activity in Game 2 was a huge question mark after the right fielder slammed into the crease of the short fence at Fenway Park, bruising his right rib as he stole a grand slam from David Ortiz. The home run would have made the game 8-0. Instead, the Red Sox settled for just a run.

As if they needed any more. Jon Lester was dealing, but now, they are trying to explain a goo or pasty substance found on his glove. Who knows what the outcome of that situation will be.

The Red Sox hope their offense responds in Game 2. Though they won the first game, they are the underdogs in this game. Wacha has yet to lose a game and though John Lackey, the Red Sox's Game 2 starter, has pitched very well in the postseason, Boston is expected to lose this game. In order to win this game, they might have to do what they did against the Detroit Tigers; patience, take pitches and make Wacha throw.

No lead is safe against the Red Sox, so the Cardinals will have to get as many runs as they can in the early innings of this game. If Lackey struggles late, John Farrell has the option of going to his rested bullpen and those guys have been lights out in the postseason. This matchup could come down to the best starting pitcher in postseason baseball against the best bullpen in the postseason.

Enjoy the live stream and may the best team win.
