Red Sox Schedule: TV Channel, Time and Radio Coverage for Game 2 of World Series

Oct 24, 2013 01:27 PM EDT

The Boston Red Sox want more. Just get them on a AT&T commercial while they are at it. The schedule has them set for Game 2 of the 2013 World Series. Check out the TV channel and radio coverage info as the Red Sox look to take a 2-0 lead over the St. Louis Cardinals in the Fall Classic.

Game Time: 7:30 p.m. ET

TV Channel: FOX

Radio Coverage: Local WEEI 93.7 FM

Due to MLB's restrictions and tight control of MLB games, live radio streams via WEEI's website will not be provided, but they will provide local coverage of the Red Sox over the radio. That's right, take a step back in time and enjoy baseball the old-school way.

Oh, for those who did not understand the AT&T reference about wanting more, here is a quick look.

The Red Sox like winning, they have proved it in the 2013 regular season and that enthusiasm has not seized in the postseason. With their 8-3 record, the Red Sox have the best postseason record in the 2013 season (which is a given, granted they got this far).

Boston has done the right things, taking advantage of the other team's mistakes. We saw how they mercilessly pounded the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 1 of the ALDS, scoring 12 runs. Then they continued to take advantage of the Detroit Tigers' in the ALCS. In Tuesday's Game 1, the Cardinals committed three errors and all three of these errors led to Red Sox runs.

In Game 2, guys like Jacoby Ellsbury, Shane Victorino and Xander Bogaerts should drop bunts left and right. David Freese committed an error and the best thing the Red Sox could do is test his will. Freese has been praised for his superior performance in the 2011 World Series. Though he stunk in 2013, the hype remains and any time he gets a hit with runners on base, the headlines read that he is still dangerous. His bat has a hole in it as the third baseman is hitting .195 with eight hits in 41 at bats. Now that his defense is in question, the Red Sox should place the pressure on the Cardinals' defense.

This pressure should come in all facets of the game; base stealing, aggressive at-bats, hit and runs. The Red Sox can take all momentum with them to Busch Stadium, a place where the Cardinals have been hard to beat.

John Lackey faces Michael Wacha in Game 2 of the World Series. This should be a great pitching matchup, though Game 1's was also great, but only for the Red Sox.
