The fantasy football season is moving along at a quick pace and for owners and teams looking to get the advantage heading into Week 7 of the season have a number of players to look at for wide receivers, including pickups like Brandon LaFell, Jarrett Boykin, Keenan Allen and Rueben Randle as well as Percy Harvin and Harry Douglas.

The top pick up option of the week is Boykin, as the Green Bay Packers are down a couple wide receivers in James Jones and Randall Cobb, the latter of which is now on the IR with designation to return after hurting his leg in the win over the Ravens. The two wide receivers came in leading the team in yards and catches and now the Packers are down to Jordy Nelson and some others, including Boykin, who Aaron Rodgers has said has done well in practice and has the potential to break out.

This season has only played 10 snaps on offense, but now that Cobb is out he could be a prime fantasy option going forward and he came through on Sunday, making one catch for 43 yards to show off his big play ability. Boykin had six targets in the game and that is promising as well and now he has six career catches for 70 yards and chances are he will get plenty more chances. The Packers offense looked much better on Sunday, but now without their top two receivers - Cobb is out for at least eight weeks while Jones is in question for next week - Boykin will have to show that he can step up and that could be big for fantasy owners.

Brandon LaFell has stepped up as a consistent option for Cam Newton this season and he is coming off his best game of the year, making four catches for 107 yards and one touchdown and he also had four targets in the game, catching them all. This season he has been increasing his catches, targets and yards in each of the past four games and he is coming into next week with 15 catches for 220 yards this season. LaFell had two touchdowns against the Giants a few weeks ago and while getting seven targets per game over the past four weeks means Cam is continuing to go to him game after game and that could be big for fantasy owners.

Keenan Allen has shown tremendous skills as a rookie and he is one reason why the Chargers have played well of late, as he has over 20 targets in the past two games while going over 100 yards in each. Last week he had 107 yards and nine catches and that came after a six catch 115 yard performance the week before and now he has 23 catches for 332 yards and two touchdowns. He has increased his targets and receptions over the past three weeks and he will continue that way as long as Malcom Floyd is out.

Rueben Randle is having a solid season while the Giants are not, as he has 20 catches for 333 yards and three scores this season. He had 75 yards last week against the Bears and he also had a nice six catch, 96 yard game against the Eagles and he has had three touchdowns over the past two games.
