Best Fantasy Football Free Agents Week 7: Keenan Allen, Joseph Randle, Ryan Mathews, Marvin Jones Top Yahoo Sports Adds

Oct 15, 2013 09:06 AM EDT

The fantasy football season is now into Week 7 and as the NFL schedule starts up on Thursday with the Seattle Seahawks and the Arizona Cardinals playing and fantasy owners looking for some sleepers and solid free agent options should look at players like Keenan Allen, Ryan Mathews, Joseph Fauria, Joseph Randle and Marvin Jones.

Allen has been looking very solid this season after the Chargers dealt with a number of injuries and he has come on strong over the past three games, scoring two touchdowns while getting targeted over 25 times. Last week he had 115 yards and against the Colts on Monday night football he finished with nine catches on 12 targets for 107 yards and a TD from Philip Rivers. The injuries to Danario Alexander and Malcom Floyd have benefitted him the most and he could continue putting up big numbers, as he has 21 targets over the past two games.

Allen had the most targets of any WR for the Chargers and he has over 300 receiving yards of his 332 total over the past three weeks. He has steadily increased his targets, receptions and yards in each of the past three weeks and like RB Ryan Mathews, he is trending upwards. Mathews had 102 yards and is looking healthy for the first time in years and he averaged a nice 4.6 yards per carry against a tough Colts front.

The Cowboys and Joseph Randle is a good match, as DeMarco Murray is injured and Randle could be a nice option as an every down back in deeper leagues until he returns and he added 17 yards rushing and two catches in the win over Washington. Marvin jones had three catches and a TD for the Bengals in their overtime win and he could be another nice option for wide receiver in deeper leagues.

Here is a look back on the Cowboys and Redskins from Week 6 of the NFL season. Tony Romo had a game for the ages last week against the Denver Broncos and while the Dallas Cowboys lost the matchup with Peyton Manning, Romo outplayed them at quarterback with 506 yards passing and after throwing the pick that turned the game back to Denver, he now will get the chance to rebound on Sunday night football on NBA at 8:30 pm against the Washington Redskins in an NFC East matchup.

The Cowboys offense has been very productive this season despite going 2-3, as the team is averaging over 280 yards per game and the team is now going up against a Redskins secondary that ranks in the bottom of the league. The Cowboys secondary isn't doing much better and that could mean a big game for Robert Griffin and Pierre Garcon, as the Redskins need to rebound to get back in the NFC East race after winning the division last season. After playing the Redskins, the Cowboys will be hitting the road to Philadelphia for a divisional matchup again with the Philadelphia Eagles and then the team will be playing against

Romo passed for 506 yards last game and he has been extremely accurate this season, tossing just two interceptions and completing over 70 percent of his passes this season. Romo has been super consistent keeping the ball and also putting it where it needs to be and he has dipped under 70 percent just once this season and it was the last game against Denver and it was only to 69 percent for the game. Romo has tossed at least one touchdown in every game this season and he has put up multiple touchdowns in four of five games this season. Romo has been asked to throw the ball a ton and he has been over 40 attempts twice already this season.

Romo has been very good at home, according to ESPN.com he has 3,820 yards and 25 touchdowns in his past 11 home games and that bodes well for him and the team on Sunday night, as the Redskins is giving up quite a few yards through the air this season. The Redskins have a very tough schedule and that usually happens when teams have an early bye like they did in week 5 of the season and now they have Dallas in Week 6 before playing the Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos in consecutive weeks and both are coming off wins this week.

The team then plays a home game against the improved San Diego Chargers and then they play at home for three straight games, including a Monday night matchup against the San Francisco 49ers and that will be on ESPN. The team then hosts the NY Giants and the undefeated Chiefs before playing the Falcons on the road and then they finish off with two more NFC East games and they could help decide the division when they play against the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants. Last season the Redskins won the NFC East on the final game of the season against the Cowboys.
