The New Orleans Saints lost their first game of the season against the New England Patriots in dramatic fashion on Sunday and the team could possibly be losing more after the game, as tight end Jimmy Graham was banged up in the loss and there is a chance he could miss time for the team.

According to ESPN.com, Graham injured his foot or his ankle in the game against the Patriots and was forced to leave the game and one point to get it taped up. The tight end was able to return to the game after leaving the field, but he eventually was taken out and the team did not provide an update on his injury following the loss, which came with under 10 seconds left when Tom Brady hit Kenbrell Thompkins for a touchdown.

Graham did not have a catch in the game and that happened to him for the first time since he was a rookie and while the injury could be significant, he will have extra time to heal up since the New Orleans Saints have a bye before playing against the Buffalo Bills in Week 8. Graham still is one of the leaders in the league with 37 receptions for 595 yards this season with six touchdowns and while the Saints lost their first game of the season, the team has a bye this week and are multiple games up in the division.

The Patriots went man to man mostly against Graham to take him out of the game and Aqib Talib was used to blanket him in coverage it was mostly good enough for the Patriots, who kept him without a catch. Graham is obviously one of the best fantasy tight ends in the league and while his injury could be an issue, fantasy owners already need a replacement for Graham next week, as the Saints have a bye.
