The NFL schedule for Week 5 kicks off on Thursday night, as the Cleveland Browns will host the Buffalo Bills at FirstEnergy Stadium in Ohio for Thursday Night Football on the NFL Network and the game will begin at 8:25 pm in the evening.

The Browns are coming off of two straight wins after trading away star running back Trent Richardson, while the Buffalo Bills are coming into the game after winning against the Baltimore Ravens last week at home. The Browns are feeling good about their team despite trading Richardson and one reason has been the play of Brian Hoyer, who has done a good job since taking over the starting job for Brandon Weeden.

Hoyer has shown that he is a capable starting quarterback in the NFL and the way players like Jordan Cameron and Josh Gordon have performed, he could continue being a solid starting quarterback in the league. Hoyer was excellent against the Bengals and after tossing three touchdowns in his first start against the Vikings, he will be looking for more on Thursday night against the Bills at home.

Hoyer was put into the starting job after Weeden was injured and with the way he has played, chances are he will keep the job for as long as he can. Hoyer passed for two touchdowns and had no picks against the Bengals and now he will get the chance to matchup against a Bills defense that ranks 22nd and 27th in passing and rushing yards allowed per game. The Bills have won two games as well after opening the season with a loss to the Patriots and then in Week 3 to the Jets and they will be looking to keep pace in the AFC East.

EJ Manuel has been solid while starting for the Bills as a rookie and he is coming off of a so-so performance in the win over the Ravens, having passed for 167 yards and two picks but also adding a touchdown. Manuel has looked the part for Doug Marrone and the Bills and he has passed for five touchdowns this season along with three picks. The Bills have a tough upcoming schedule with a road game against the Browns before hosting the Bengals and then they will play three road games in four weeks visiting the Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints before playing at home against the Chiefs.

Those teams have combined for just one loss so far this season through four weeks and then the team has a road game at the Steelers, which could be a trap game despite the fact that the team is 0-4 this year so far. The Bills then have the Jets at home before a bye week and then they will host the Falcons in what should be a tough game. The team will play the Jaguars and Buccaneers next and then has the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots on the road in Week 17.

The Bills opened the season with the Patriots at home and lost on a field goal and they will try to end the season in Week 17 with a better result.
