The Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos will go at it in the 2013 NFL Preseason's Week 2. The Seahawks and Broncos are fresh off successful NFL performances last week as they started their campaign 1-0. Yes, it's only the preseason and it won't count once January 2014 hits the calendar, however, one has to wonder will these two teams wind up facing off in February? The Seahawks and Broncos are one of three matches being televised by NFL Network. They will immediately follow the New York Jets vs. Jacksonville Jaguars meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m. ET. NFL Network might not begin televising the game at 10 p.m. on the dot, but they will eventually get to the game, allowing fans to see the possible future stars on both teams.
Remember, the Seahawks did not have Russell Wilson as their quarterback in 2012. He stepped up and played great in the preseason, earning him a starting role in the Seahawks' 2012 team. The Seahawks have some young talent also trying to impress the coaching staff.
Christine Michael went for 89 yards against the San Diego Chargers in Week 1. He had 16 carries in that game. Wide receiver Stephen Williams had 83 yards in only two receptions, one of which ended up in the end zone. Jermaine Kearse also had a touchdown and two catches, but he only tallied 31 receiving yards. Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson had a solid outing as he completed 8/9 passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns.
The Broncos aren't far behind in talent. They're expected to take the AFC West and many are still wondering how they lost to the Baltimore Ravens last year.
Peyton Manning and Demariyus Thomas are still the juggernauts of this offense. The Broncos will look to improve their running game as Knowshon Morena could use some company in the back field. C.J. Anderson left his marks in Week 1's game against the San Francisco 49ers. Though the game was dictated by defense, Anderson finished with 69 rushing yards on 15 carries. Brock Osweiler got the most burn at quarterback. He had a solid game, going 13/18 passing for 105 yards.
Once again, the Broncos and Seahawks are primed for the playoffs, but will they make it all the way?
