Tampa Bay Buccaneers player Warren Sapp (L), former Minnesota Vikings player Cris Carter (2nd L), former Baltimore Ravens player Jonathan Ogden (2nd R) and former Dallas Cowboys player Larry Allen (R) sit together after being named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame at the 2013 Class of Enshrinement show in New Orleans, Louisiana, February 2."

The Hall of Fame game is the first true mark of the NFL preseason and now that the offseason has filly moved into training camp and with teams working on their rosters heading into the start of the season, the Canton game will mark the first chance to see the Dolphins and Cowboys in action.

Tony Romo is looking to get the Cowboys back to the playoffs, while the Dolphins are excited to bring Mike Wallace and their free agent signings out onto the field for the first time. Teams find it an honor to play in the Hall of Fame game and last year Drew Brees led the New Orleans Saints over the Arizona Cardinals 17-10 in the game and ended up with a victory early on. The Cardinals showed how awful they would end up being as the quarterbacks combined for zero touchdowns, two interceptions and a completion rate of 47 percent and now Ryan Tannehill and Romo will get their chances as well.

The game will be broadcast on NBC from Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio and will start at 8 PM on Sunday August 4 with the Cowboys "visiting" the Dolphins. Cris Carter and Warren Saoo as well as Larry Allen will be heading into the Hall to be enshrined and the game will come after the ceremony. The Cowboys will be looking to improve in the NFC East after being eliminated for the playoffs in the final game each of the last two seasons, while the Dolphins are looking to take down the Patriots.

Date and Game Time: Sunday Aug. 4 at 8 PM on NBC.

Streaming through NBC main website and on NFL.com.

The team is excited for year 2 with Ryan Tannehill at quarterback and after adding Mike Wallace to the offense and re-signing Brian Hartline, the team could be one to surprise out in the AFC east. The team lost Sean Smith in free agency at corner, but signed Brent Grimes to replace him and along the offense there are new faces as well after Reggie Bush left. Lamar Miller will be the staring back over Daniel Thomas and he is considered one of the fastest players in the league and that could help get the team more consistent on offense.

Jake Long is gone from the offensive line and with Jonathan Martin and Tyson Clabo in the fold, things could be tough at first as the team gets acclimated to new players. Last season the Dolphins went 7-9 and showed signs of getting better and now will be the true test if they improved this offseason. The team ranked 26th in passing and 17th in rushing yards per game and both need to get better for the team to challenge the Pats in the division.

Miami traded up with the Oakland Raiders to get Jordan after moving up from number 12 and since they moved up, Jordan has more leverage to keep out the language to get his deal guaranteed. Wallace's contract has language to offset his guaranteed money and the Dolphins will likely stay in on their position with Jordan, especially since he is coming off an injury. The big point will be whether Jordan wants to get into camp on time and that could get him to sign.
