Olympic track-and-field star turned bobsledder, Lolo Jones, reportedly knocked out a woman at a Lake Placid watering hole last Friday.
Fox Sports Tonight Radio host Amy Van Dyken reported that the alleged victim was actually the stepdaughter of U.S. bobsled legend Tony Carlino.
Deadspin reported that Carlino's stepdaughter was "visibly intoxicated" and "verbally confronted" Jones near the dance floor.
"Jones then pushed the stepdaughter to the ground" and left the bar.
"The stepdaughter followed outside, where she and the athletes were separated by bouncers."
The Washington Post is reporting that Jones will face no sanctions for her incident.
"That could change if new information emerges, but I'm not expecting that to happen at this point," Darrin Steele, the CEO of the U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation, told the Associated Press late Tuesday. "It's a good reminder of why our athletes need to avoid putting themselves in situations where things like this can happen."
Since taking on bobsledding, Jones has generated a huge wave of publicity for the sport, with not all of it being positive.
Last month, Jones upset colleagues after posting a Vine video that made light of $741.84 check she got from the U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation.
"Seven months with bobsled season. The whole season. That's it?" she said in the clip.
"People were really kind of insulted. You just made $741, more than most athletes in the sport. So what are you complaining about?" Olympic bobsled gold medalist Steven Holcomb said of the video.
"She slapped pretty much every athlete in the U.S. federation in the face."
