Each year ESPN The Magazine comes out with a special "Body Issue" which allow sports fans the opportunity to see their favorite athletes in a light that most won't get a chance to see. For 2013, the magazine will feature the appearance of 77-year-old golfer Gary Player, according to USA Today.
A native of South Africa, Player won nine majors from the late 1950s to late 1970s, including three Masters championships.
Player, a workout and nutrition fanatic since his youth, scoffed when people told him that weight-training and golf could never mesh.
"People of my age, they're dead," the nine-time major-winning World Golf Hall of Famer says in a video that accompanies his 2013 turn as the game's Charles Atlas. "I'm just beginning, man."
Joining Player this year will be a few household names like Colin Kaepernick, John Wall and Matt Harvey.
For now fans will have to wait for the new issue to be released on newsstands on Friday, but they'll have a handful of preview images to enjoy.
The magazine will also feature Denver Nuggets star Kenneth Faried, drag racer Courtney Force, UFC superstar Miesha Tate and professional snowboarder Elena Hight, among others.
