Real Madrid officially completed the transfer of Isco from Malaga, with the talented playmaker revealing he snubbed an offer from Manchester City, and the prospect of linking up with manager Manuel Pellegrini, to sign for Real.

The Spanish giants unveiled their latest big-money signing with the 21-year-old putting pen to paper on a five-year contract after Real agreed a deal worth around €27 million (£23 million, $35 million) with Malaga.

Isco, who will wear the No. 23 shirt at Real made famous by a certain David Beckham, was also wanted by Manchester City with the Spanish international, and at one point, looked on course for a move to the Etihad and the English Premier League.

However, the youngster admitted once he learnt of Real Madrid's interest in him, his mind was made up.

"I have few doubts about coming here, because although I knew that Pellegrini wanted me, once I learned that Real Madrid's interest was serious I didn't think twice," he said.

"It is true that I had offers from many teams in Europe, but playing here is a dream and here I am.

"I'm where I want to be, at the biggest club in the world. I have just arrived and I have a lot of admiration for this club I want to get out on the field and win a lot of things.

"It is true that I have always been at Malaga and now I am the biggest Real Madrid fan there is. I will give everything, I will leave everything on the field and no one will question my commitment to this team."

Isco, a confirmed starter at Malaga, might find it a little more difficult to establish himself in the first XI at Real, but the attacking midfielder is up to the challenge.

"Earning a place in the best team in the world is tough, but if I didn't think that I could do it then I would not have come here," he added.

"I'll play where the coach decides and I have the ability to adapt. To make a great team you need a lot of competition for places and here there is competition.

"Real Madrid have a very big impact worldwide. I come here under no pressure and they have signed me because they believe in me. I want to win things, enjoy myself and to give people something to enjoy."
