Tottenham are closing in on the twin signings of Tin Jedvaj and Alen Halilovic after Dinamo Zagreb confirmed they are in talks with the English Premier League club over the summer transfers of the two youngsters.

Spurs have already as good as wrapped up the transfer of midfielder Paulinho, with the player confirming he is set to sign for the North London side.

Now, Tottenham seemed to be close to completing moves for the two highly-rated youngsters, with Dinamo Zagreb executive director Zdravko Mamic revealing talks were underway, but a deal was not done as yet.

"Discussions and negotiations with Tottenham are still ongoing, but this job is absolutely not done," Mamic told a specially convened press conference.

"And Tottenham is not the only one interested, but we hope that transfer will be realised and that Tin and Alen will go to Tottenham, but no one can guarantee that.

"If the business was done, we would say so and if the transfer is completed, they will both stay at Dinamo.

"I can also reveal that there are many clubs after both of them, there is not a club from the top 20 in Europe that didn't ask us about them."

Arsenal have also been linked with moves for the two 17-year-old's, with Jedvaj, a central defender, in particular thought to have caught Arsene Wenger's eye.

Some reports have suggested Wenger might try to hijack a move for the two youngsters.

Halilovic has been compared to former Spurs favorite Luka Modric, with some even expecting the teenager to surpass his compatriot in the future.

The likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United were also interested in signing Halilovic, but Spurs now seem to have beaten off competition from some of the biggest clubs in the world.

The deal will not come cheap though, with reports suggesting the two players are set to cost a combined fee of around £17 million ($26 million), the same fee that Tottenham paid for the services of Paulinho.
