The now former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is currently sitting in a jail cell after being denied bail for the second time and as he faces murder charges for the death of Odin Lloyd, he will have a lot to ponder, including the decisions that led him to this point.

Aaron Hernandez has a Facebook page with over 50,000 likes and people in New England sure still love him, as chants of innocent rained down from a crowd that was nearby when he was taken away to jail. He leaves behind his fiancé and girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins with their young daughter and now he will have to face murder charges at a trial, likely next year.

At the bail hearing and previous arraignment, lawyers presented a whole slew of details and reasons why he should not be allowed out of jail, including that he appeared to have done the killing in cold blood. The lawyers detailed evidence like video surveillance, text messages and shell casings that tie him to the murder, as well as gunshots to Lloyd's back and chest, execution style. They also said the motive for the killing may have been a disagreement the two had at a nightclub that may have involved information about a double murder in Boston last year.

Hernandez is being investigated in connection with that murder and he had police back at his home once again and at another residence to search for evidence and other materials. During his past, Hernandez has had issues with drugs and fighting, both of which occurred at the University of Florida. The new case has only given more scrutiny to his time there and some past issues included failed drug tests as well as a fight with a bouncer and hanging out with the wrong crowd.

Hernandez was a star with the Gators and in the NFL, but the Patriots released him soon after he was arrested and now his career is likely over. He won the award for best tight end while playing with Tebow for the Gators and coach Urban Meyer, but now he must wait in jail to see what his fate will be. He was denied bail by the judge after his lawyers presented arguments and now police are looking for and found another accomplice in the case and he could be directly tied with the shooting murder.
