Wimbledon 2013 Draw: Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal Set for Quarterfinal Clash with Andy Murray Lying in Wait in the Semifinals

The matchup that nobody wanted early was made a reality when two of the greatest to ever play the sport - Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal - were drawn for a possible quarterfinal match at Wimbledon.

As soon as Nadal, two-time winner on the famous grass courts, was confirmed as the No. 5 seed, with the All-England club deciding to stick to the world rankings, such an unfortunate circumstance was inevitable, with Andy Murray slated to possibly face one of the two greats in the semifinals.

That means the path to the final for 2011 winner and world number one Novak Djokovic is pretty clear, the draw being the kindest to him.

Federer, who has won Wimbledon seven times, will face Victor Hanescu of Romania in the first round, while his great friend and nemesis Nadal, who won the French Open for a record eighth time earlier this month, plays Steve Darcis of Belgium in his opener.

Murray also faces a tricky draw, with his opening match against Benjamin Becker.

The Scot, the British public's great hope of ending their wait for a home Wimbledon champion, will also possibly have to negotiate Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the quarterfinals, with the Frenchman extremely dangerous and capable of pulling off a victory.

Murray beat Tsonga in the Aegon Championships semifinal last week, but come Wimbledon the French Open semifinalist will be a completely different prospect.

Djokovic plays Florian Mayer in round one, with a possible quarterfinal matchup against former finalist Tomas Berdych.

David Ferrer and Juan Martin Del Potro are slated to meet in the other quarterfinal, making it an interesting, if not outstanding side of the draw.

Wimbledon main draw starts on Monday, June 24.
