Mother's Day is one of the biggest holidays of the year and with it being on a Sunday, naturally there are tons of sporting events going on, the most notable being the NBA and NHL playoffs.

The NBA will have the Spurs and Warriors, while in the NHL a number of series have scheduled games that could happen depending on how the games the rest of the week shake out, including possible games for the Ducks and Red Wings, Senators and Canadiens, Islanders and Penguins, Caps and Rangers as well as the Wild and Blackhawks, who likely won't as Chicago is up 3-1.

MLB has a number of great matchups, including the Yankees and Royals, Nationals and Cubs, Padres and Rays, Blue Jays and Red Sox, Brewers and Reds, Pirates and Mets as well as Indians and Tigers. The Spurs Warriors matchup could be great after the Game 2 matchup on Wednesday, as Klay Thompson scored 29 of his 34 points in the first half and added 14 rebounds for his first career double-double as the visiting Golden State Warriors beat San Antonio Spurs 100-91 on Wednesday to level the Western Conference semifinals at 1-1.

Tim Duncan had 23 points and nine rebounds and Tony Parker scored 20 as the Spurs suffered their first loss of the playoffs. San Antonio had overcome a 16-point deficit to win in double overtime in Game 1 but could not fight all the way back from a 19-point halftime gap in Game 2.

Thompson went 8-for-9 from beyond the arc to set a franchise record for made 3-pointers in a postseason game.
