NFL Free Agent Rumors: Matt Flynn Option For Buffalo Bills As Tim Tebow Has Chance To Sign With Jacksonville Jaguars?

Matt Flynn is currently a free agent after being released by the Oakland Raiders and now that the Buffalo Bills have come down with yet another quarterback injury, early reports have the team possibly looking at him as an option to be signed if Thad Lewis needs to miss next week's game.

According to ESPN.com, Flynn is a possible option for the team after Lewis suffered a foot injury against the Cincinnati Bengals in the team's loss on Sunday and with EJ Manuel already out for at least the next couple games with an injury, the team needs a new quarterback. Flynn was released after being acquired by the Raiders in the offseason from the Seattle Seahawks and sources spoke to ESPN and said that Flynn would be looked at as a replacement for Lewis, as the Bills only have Jeff Tuel and Dennis Dixon.

The team like Tuel, but feels he is not ready to start and with Manuel injured for multiple weeks, the team is looking for an affordable replacement option for Lewis. The Bills had some solid moments in the game against the Bengals and Lewis finished with over 200 yards passing and two touchdowns before getting injured and now he could be out for the next game against the Miami Dolphins, leaving head coach Doug Marrone in a tough spot.

Flynn has been through some tough times this season, looking like he would be the starter before getting demoted to third string and he also did not perform as the aiders hoped when he started, losing to the Washington Redskins after passing for 227 yards and turning over the ball. Flynn is getting paid more than Robert Griffin, Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson combined and now he could find himself a new home in Buffalo at least for the short term.

Tim Tebow isn't anywhere closer to being signed, but with every loss, people speculate that the Jacksonville Jaguars could sign him to the team and now that the are 0-6, the Tebow fans will be out chanting again. The Jaguars played tough against the Denver Broncos and while they lost, they were able to beat the historic spread that was put on them and now the Broncos are 6-0 on the season.
