The NCAA College Football 2014 schedule opens the week of August 28 with FBS games starting on Thursday with Texas A&M and South Carolina and that will kick off the season and some other games that night include Ole Miss and Boise State as well as Rutgers and Washington State and those matchups are on ESPN and FOX while other games are also on.

The season feels like it has been waiting to start forever, but now it's getting oh so close and this will be a first look at the Aggies as they start life without Johnny Manziel. The team is opening on the road against South Carolina at Williams-Brice Stadium and both teams are ranked. The Gamecocks come in as a top 10 team and this matchup will be on the SEC Network for ESPN and is a big early matchup for both sides.

The Aggies play against Lamar in the second week and that's not shocking and now the team has to deal with following up one of the best years in history with Manziel, who is now with the Cleveland Browns. The team went 9-4 last season and now they start with SC, while the Gamecocks will play against East Carolina in their second game.

South Carolina was impressive while going 11-2 last season and they were 3-1 against the top 25 and they have a tough early schedule with Georgei coming up in their third game. The Bulldogs matchup comes before Vanderbilt and Missouri and those games may decide what type of season this team will have. The Aggies have an easy early schedule, with Rice and SMU early before playing Arkansas, but later in the season the team has a stretch of six weeks with Ole Miss, Alabama, Auburn and Missouri before playing against LSU to end the season.
