The MLS All-Stars are taking on Bayern Munich on Wednesday night and the All-Star game is live from ESPN2 on TV and streaming live on WatchESPN as the Euro side heads to the US and the team comes in after a German championship and the game is live from Providence Park in Oregon where the Portland Timbers play and some high profile names are there, including Clint Dempsey, Michael Bradley and Thomas Muller.

The World Cup was massive this year and it helped shine a light on the MLS and a game like this could do the same and now the Major League Soccer team is hoping that this goes better than the LA Galaxy against Manchester United, as the Euro team scored seven goals in that matchup. The exhibition game is mostly like another friendly, but the MLS side gets the chance to get a look at a true dominant European team and while they will not be going crazy all out, the team should see some top players along with Julian Green a star from the USA World Cup team.

Dempsey and Bradley are two of the best players from the US World Cup team in the game and there are plenty other stars from the MLS that measure up and they will get the chance now to play against the German champions. Bayern comes in after totally dominating Bundesliga this year and they won their title early and finished way ahead of the top two teams in the standings for the 2013-14 season.

The MLS All-Stars have played against numerous European teams and this will be the second time the team is playing someone not from Great Britain and that comes after the team matched up with AS Roma in the All-Star game last season. The All-Stars are playing against a German team for the first time and it comes after the team lost to Roma last season and they will be looking for a strong performance on Wednesday night.

The Portland Timbers are serving as hosts for this All-Star game and Bayern also is the first team as winners of the FIFA Club World Champions Cup to be playing in the game against the MLS All-Stars. The MLS is getting more exposure as a league and while they are not at the level of other European leagues, the team is getting more big names and players like Dempsey, Thierry Henry, Frank Lampard and David Villa now are on the fold, although those names at the end will not play until next season for NYCFC.

The Seattle Sounders and Sporting Kansas City come into things as the leading teams in the divisions and they have players representing, including Dempsey, DeAndre Yedlin as well as Graham Zusi, all of whom played on the World Cup team. The matchup is very anticipated and ESPN also has pregame coverage and they will have cameras on the goal posts as well.
