The Texas Longhorns and the Texas Tech Red Raiders are gearing up for a big rivalry game on Thanksgiving Day and the matchup in the Lone Star state for the Chancellor's Spurs will be at Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium and the game will be live on Fox Sports 1 on TV and streaming online with a live stream starting at 7:30 pm for the Big 12 conference match up.

Texas has rebounded from some early season struggles to win six of their past seven games and despite losing last week to the Oklahoma State Cowboys, the team still has a chance to make noise in the conference, as the loss against OSU was the first defeat within the Big 12 for the team this season. The Longhorns are 7-3 on the season and are 6-1 in the conference and they will need to take care of business against the Red Raiders, who have a big passing attack and a 7-4 record overall and a 4-4 record within the conference. The Longhorns were shut down by the Oklahoma State defense and the team now has the game against the Red Raiders before playing against Baylor on Fox for the final game of the season and that comes after a break. The team has Case McCoy playing better and they will need all hands on deck to win on Thursday.

The Texas offense has been playing much better than early in the season and despite the performance last week, McCoy has been sharper over the past few weeks and with Johnathan Gray and Jaxon Shipley having nice seasons the Red Raiders will have to make sure their defense is strong in the secondary and up front. Last week the team scored just 13 points, but before that the Longhorns won a crazy shootout with West Virginia on the road in overtime and scored nearly 50 points and now they likely will have to win another game like that on Thursday. The two teams have a deep history and this year a ton is on the line for Texas as they try to finish the season strong and after going just 1-2 to to open the year and nearly 2-3 with a close controversial loss against Iowa State, which has probably saved Mack Brown's job.

McCoy has been getting better and while he has just eight touchdowns this season, he has passed for nearly 1,700 yards and Gray has been a huge factor for the team, rushing for nearly 800 yards with four touchdowns and Jaxon Shipley has been very big for the team, making over 50 catches for 570 yards and the top two receivers have combined for seven touchdowns this season. The conference standings at the top is very tight heading into the final matchups of the season and right now the Cowboys are at the top of the conference with a 10-1 record and they are 7-1 in the conference, while Baylor has fallen out of national title contention, but with a game against Texas next, the Bears are 9-1 on the season and 6-1 overall in the Big 12 and they are tied with Texas in the conference ahead of Kansas State and Texas Tech. The game is a big one for Texas Tech, as they are passing for over 400 yards per game and the team has lost four games in a row and they come in after a bad blowout by Baylor and will try to bounce back.
