The Texas Longhorns have had a nice break after defeating the Oklahoma Sooners in the Red River rivalry game and since losing to Ole Miss and falling to 1-2, the team has not lost again and they take their three game winning streak in the Big 12 and overall to Amon Carter Stadium on Saturday night as they take on the TCU Horned Frogs in a game that will air on Fox Sports 1 at 7:30 pm.

The game is an important one for Texas, as they have been able to get out of the hole they were in and now they are a factor on the Big 12, as they remain undefeated heading into the matchup and they have a decent enough schedule until the end to at least hang around. Texas has looked better after those two losses, but the 31-30 victory against Iowa State on the road was very troubling, but Mack Brown righted the ship a bit with the game against Oklahoma and now the Longhorns will take the field again after taking down the Sooners and it will be the first of two road games in three weeks heading into November and the back stretch of the schedule.

Check here for the Texas and TCU coverage from Fox Sports 1.

Texas comes into the game gaining over 400 yards per contest and the team has now won three straight games in a row after opening with one win and two losses and heading into the back part of the schedule they will have to play three teams ranked in the top 20 and two ranked in the top 10, as they will face OK State, Texas Tech and then Baylor to finish the season and that could be a tough game to get pact, as the Bears are playing some amazing offensive football and they are averaging well over 700 yards per game and the team is undefeated this season and that game could easily get out of hand for Texas, as the Bears are stacked with Lache Seastrunk and Bryce Petty, as both have put up some amazing stats this season.

The Longhorns are right there in the Big 12 with Baylor and Texas Tech in the Big 12 and they have their own destiny in their hands, as they play those teams ahead and those games could end up shaking out who wins the conference this season. Texas comes into the game after moving up to getting ranked 48th in the nation with over 250 yards and the team is ranked 35th in rushing yards with 200 yards per game and while the defense has not been that great with allowing 27 points per game, while the offense is ranked 47th in scoring and they are averaging over 30 points per game this season. The team has scored over 30 points in each of their last three wins and that was better than the previous two games, as they scored under 25 points in those two losses.

The schedule for Texas heading into the second part of the season has TCU and then Kansas and after that the next game will be against West Virginia on the road and they will be home later in the season against the Oklahoma State Cowboys and then the Texas Tech Red Raider in an anticipated game. The team finishes the season with the matchup at Baylor, while TCU heads into West Virginia and then they will play against Iowa State, Kansas State and Baylor as well and the Bears could dominate in both of those games.
