The undefeated Boston Bruins host the New York Islanders Friday night at 7 p.m. ET as this NHL shortened season continues. Check out the live streaming action at the bottom of the article.

This matchup features two second place teams in their respective divisions. Both teams have two wins in this young season and are looking to make a run at first place.

For the Islanders, the New Jersey Devils stand in their way from first place. The Islanders are 2-1, while the Devils are a perfect 2-0. The Islanders are coming straight out of a high scoring affair against the Toronto Maple Leafs which found winning 7-4.

These Islanders have been a scoring machine as they lead their division with 12 goals. However, they could step up their defensive effort having allowed nine goals through the first three games.

As for the Bruins, the Ottawa Senators are sitting atop of the Northeast division with a perfect 3-0 record. The Bruins are 2-0 despite dropping their match against the New York Rangers in Overtime at the beginning of the week.

Overall, both teams are sitting fourth and fifth in the Eastern Conference. The Bruins are fourth and the Islanders are fifth.

Let's see which team can remain the hottest and possibly overtake second place as their matchup is set to begin soon.

Check out the live stream of the Bruins vs. Islanders. It's $49.99 for the entire season. Why wouldn't you give it a shot, especially if you're never home to watch the games.
