NFL Cheerleader Joins MMA, Rachel Wray Goes from Sidelines to Octagon (Fight Video)

Maybe the action before Rachel Wray's eyes motivated her to make a drastic change in her career choice as she seeked more contact. The ex-Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader hung up the pom poms and laced up some gloves as she is now an MMA fighter.

As Bleacher Report states, Wray has been training rigorously for her new found love for the sport of MMA. She is training on her Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai skills.

She is so feared that her last opponent didn't even show up to their scheduled bout. And from the way she lands punches, who would want to face Wray anyways?

She landed a couple of hits to the body first and followed up with clean straight punches on her opponents face. It's almost hard to watch.

Her mother is not too fond of the sport, but Wray says her father is enjoying this new path her daughter has taken. "Mom hates it and Dad loves it.  My mom just doesn't understand it.  She will be there at my first fight, but I think she is really nervous." Wray said in an interview with KCMMA.com

She also mentioned in her interview with KCMMA.com,  "I was nervous about someone actually punching me in the face, but I did it...I was absolutely horrible. This drove me to want it even more."

Wray has a fight scheduled for January 25, though her opponent is yet unknown.
