Bengals vs. Eagles Results: Cincinnati Wins Force 5 Philly Turnovers in a Thursday Night Football Routing

Dec 14, 2012 06:48 AM EST

In 2012, there are somethings the Philadelphia Eagles just can't get right as they once again lost because of their high turnover rate. The Cincinnati Bengals were merciless and defeated the Eagles 34-13 after forcing five turnovers in Week 15's Thursday Night Football matchup.

Andy Dalton didn't have to do much Thursday night as his stat sheet will show. He finished the night 13/27 good for 127 yards with a passing and rushing touchdown.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis had the biggest offensive night rushing for 106 yards and a touchdown. Jermaine Graham finished the night 63 yards receiving, but A.J. Green caught the TD pass.

The Bengals defense became the story of the night as they forced four fumbles and picked Nick Foles off once. Foles, Clay Harbor, Jeremy Maclin and Cedric Thornton were the four Eagles to fumble in the game.

With the win, the Bengals improve to 8-6 and are now half a game over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North and in possession of the second AFC Wild Card spot.

For the Eagles, well, it's a game they can forget about similar to their other 10 games which they have lost in 2012.

The Bengals have some time to study as they don't play until next Sunday, December 23 against the Steelers. They have plenty of time to prepare as a win is crucial if they hope to make consecutive playoff appearances.

As for the Eagles, they could play spoiler in Week 16 as they faceoff against the Washington Redskins, who are fighting for a playoff spot this season. That's all the Eagles have left in them, a chance to prevent teams from celebrating after the season is over.

Misery always needs company.
