The Grizzlies are rolling. They are 13-3 and have the highest winning percentage in the NBA. They are winners of eight of their last 10 games and should have no trouble getting past the Hornets.
The Hornets lost to the Los Angeles Lakers as Kobe Bryant dropped his 30,000th point and some more on them in their home floor. New Orleans comes into this match as the last place team in the Wester Conference's Southwest division as they are 5-12.
Anthony Davis is still inactive, which will make it difficult to matchup against the Grizzlies force of Anthony Randolph and Marc Gasol.
Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard should take notes from these guys. The other night Randolph saw his teammates were struggling and went on a tear helping them win the game.
Randolph defeated the Phoenix Suns 108-98 and scored 38 of those points on 15-22 shooting. He accompanied that great shooting night with 22 rebounds, seven of which were offensive.
I doubt the Grizzlies will depend heavily on Randolph tonight, but look for him to control the boards and terrorize guys driving to the basket.
