Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Chase Daniel is reportedly viewed as more than a backup by Eagles head coach Doug Pederson, and could be a potential free agent target for Philadelphia this offseason."

The Philadelphia Eagles have already made some big moves this offseason including resigning tight ends Brent Celek and Zach Ertz, but a major question still remains at the most important position, as it's unknown what Philadelphia's plans are at the quarterback position.

The Eagles reportedly don't plan on placing the franchise tag on Sam Bradford this offseason, and do not want to overpay for a quarterback who has struggled to stay on the field throughout his career. The former Heisman Trophy winner has only competed a full 16 game season twice in his six-year NFL career, but finished the 2015 season with career highs in both completion percentage (65) and yards (3,725).

A potential quarterback prospect Eagles fans should watch out for in free agency this offseason is Kansas City Chiefs backup quarterback Chase Daniel, according to NFL reporter Ian Rapoport. Eagles head coach Doug Pederson reportedly views Daniel as more than just a backup, and spent three seasons with him as his offensive coordinator in Kansas City.

The 29-year-old quarterback has been in the league for seven seasons and has attempted 77 passes with two different teams. Daniel posted big numbers at Missouri in college throwing over 4,300 yards in both his junior and senior seasons, but has had limited time under center since entering the NFL. While the Eagles reportedly view Daniel as more than a backup they could look to use him as a bridge quarterback if they decide to select a quarterback in the 2016 NFL Draft.

The Eagles could look to use an early round pick on a quarterback, and Pederson has advanced hints about acquiring a young quarterback since arriving in Philadelphia. The Eagles are also reportedly signing quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson pending his physical, and the new Eagles quarterback spent part of the 2015 season on the 49ers' practice squad. Bethel-Thompson has been in the league for three years, but has yet to play in a regular season game.

Philadelphia's front office and coaching staff have some major decisions to make this offseason, and while they are reportedly signing Bethel-Thompson and are interested in Daniel, it's still unknown who will line up behind center for the Eagles in 2016.
