Miguel Cotto and Austin Trout will hook up for their bout Saturday night, which kicks off a little after 11 p.m. ET.
For Cotto, it is a fight that could see him work his way up to face the best, Canelo Alvarez.
For Trout, simply put, it is the biggest fight of his career as he fights the most recognized boxer in his career.
Win tonight and "No Doubt" Trout will be put on the map as he will have his Junior Middleweight title on the line.
Trout has come up the ranks unrecognized and has already defended his belt twice. He is undefeated at 25-0 with 14 knockouts.
The 27-year-old will look to make a name for himself in this matchup. He is considered a suprise candidate since he is very tough and could ultimately embarass Cotto who is coming off a loss against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
"I was shocked that [Cotto] chose a fighter like me, because a lot of times I've been known as high risk, low reward, even with the belt," Trout said. "So I figured if I can't get these guys to fight me with the belt then what do I have to do, who do I have to beat to get these names going?"
Well Trout got his wish.
Simply put, Cotto believes he knows what he's doing as he is setting himself up for the future.
"Everybody who knows Miguel Cotto knows Miguel Cotto doesn't pick easy fights, or easy opponents," Cotto said. "Austin was the next in line. I'm ready for him and we're just going to see what happens."
