The NFL divisional round has injury updates for players like Ben Roethlisberger, Marshawn Lynch, Jonathan Stewart, Antonio Brown, DeAngelo Williams, Jeremy Maclin, Ted Ginn, Tom Brady and Julian Edelman heading into the weekend.
Roethlisberger injured his shoulder against the Bengals on Saturday night and according to ESPN.com, Roethlisberger is considered day-to-day with the injury. The Steelers also have Antonio Brown and DeAngelo Williams banged up and both players could be in danger of missing the game against the Broncos. Tom Brady and Julian Edelman are on track to play against the Chiefs, while Jeremy Maclin likely will be out with a high ankle sprain.
Lynch was expected to play against the Vikings last week, but the running back felt that he was not ready to suit up following his recovery from abdominal surgery and was ruled out of the game. The Seahawks are hoping that Lynch will be ready for this week against the Panthers and if he can't go, Christine Michael likely will get the start again. According to head coach Pete Carroll, Lynch is considered day-to-day and the team will evaluate the situation as the game gets closer. The team likely will use Christine Michael if Lynch can't go against the Panthers.
The Steelers have DeAngelo Williams and Antonio Brown banged up heading into the weekend and both players could be out on Sunday. Williams was originally injured in Week 17 and sat out of the Bengals wild card game last week with a foot/ankle injury. Williams visited with a foot specialist this week, while Browns reportedly is "not looking good" for the game, according to ESPN. Roethlisberger also is dealing with torn ligaments along with a sprained AC joint, according to Pro Football Talk. Roethlisberger is expected to play at this point in the week.
Jonathan Stewart missed the last three games of the season with a foot injury for the Panthers, but he is expected to play on Sunday. Ted Ginn is dealing with a knee issue, but he is expected to play as well. Jeremy Maclin suffered a high ankle sprain against the Texans and that could keep him sidelined for the Chiefs.
