With more and more drama coming out about Johnny Manziel and that mysterious concussion and Las Vegas trip, most Cleveland Browns' fans are waiting for his release. It appears all-but certain that Manziel will not be back with the franchise next season especially with a new head coach and general manager coming in. With Manziel's release, the Browns will be looking for a quarterback that can take over the franchise which could come in free agency or the NFL Draft.

One good thing for the Browns is they have Josh McCown still under contract. The veteran quarterback had a season derailed by injuries, but he showed the ability to lead the team if needed. At 36, McCown is by no means the long-term option for the Browns, but according to CBSSports.com, the chances are high that the veteran returns for one more season. Whether or not he plays in that season remains to be seen, but keeping him on the roster gives the franchise flexibility.

Could the Browns take a serious look at trying to acquire Sam Bradford? The quarterback might be the biggest name to hit the free agent market at his position considering everyone believes Kirk Cousins will stay put in Washington. The departure of Chip Kelly means Philadelphia has the same chance as any other team to sign Bradford. According to CSNPhilly.com, Bradford would like to return to Philadelphia, but he is paying closer attention to the head coaching situation. The Browns and Eagles are interviewing the same candidates which will sway Bradford one way or another.

There are always trades for the Browns. While nothing has been confirmed, both Zach Mettenberger and Mike Glennon could be available since they stand no chance at starting in 2016. Both Mettenberger and Glennon have impressed when they have been able to get on the field. With more playing time, they have the skill sets to get on the field and win. Blaine Gabbert is a good example of a quarterback getting more playing time and improving.

The NFL Draft appears the best option for the Browns in terms of getting their future quarterback. With the No.2 pick, the Browns will have their pick at all of the top options. According to Pay McManamon, Jared Goff or Paxton Lynch are the favorites in the first round. Mel Kiper Jr told the media that he is not sold on anyone in this draft, but those would be the best two available. Considering the Tennessee Titans will not be selecting a quarterback, owner Jimmy Haslam will pick between the two options if the Browns have not made another move before the draft.
