The NFL playoff standings heading into Week 17 has the Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots leading the NFC and AFC as the top seeds. The Week 17 schedule has some division titles and seeds to get set, including the NFC North division, which will be decided when the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings play on Sunday night.

The NFC standings have the Carolina Panthers on top of the playoff field, while the Arizona Cardinals are second ahead of the Packers. The Washington Redskins are locked into the fourth seed, while the Vikings and Seahawks are the wild card teams. The seeding in the NFC is still not fully set and things will get set once the NFC North title is decided between the Packers and the Vikings.

The Patriots come into the weekend at number one in the AFC and they can clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs with a win. The Denver Broncos are second in the conference and they still can get home field advantage if they win and the Patriots lose. The Bengals are third as the AFC North winners, while the Texans are fourth as the AFC South leaders. The Chiefs and Jets are the current wild card teams and the Jets will get in with a win.

The Panthers can clinch home field advantage with a win or an Arizona Cardinals loss, while the Cardinals need the Panthers to lose to have a chance at getting the top seed. The AFC could see some changes over the final week, as the Broncos and Chiefs both have a chance to win the West division title. The Broncos have the chance to be the number one seed, but they also could fall into a wild card spot if they lose on Sunday.

The Patriots will clinch home field with a win, while the Bengals still have a chance to get a first round bye depending on how the Broncos finish things off. The Jets get into the playoffs with a victory over the Bills on Sunday, while the Steelers remain alive and need the Jets to lose to have a chance to get into the playoffs. The Texans are in strong position to make it into the playoffs as the South champ, as they can win and get in. The Colts need a ton of things to go right just to have a chance at getting in over the Texans.
