The NC State Wolfpack and Mississippi State Bulldogs are playing live on the college football schedule in the Belk Bowl and the game is on TV from ESPN starting at 3:30 pm ET. The game is from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte and should have a friendly North Carolina crowd and could be an exciting matchup of teams.
Miss State comes into the game at 8-4 on the season, while NC State is 7-5 on the year and this is a solid matchup of teams from the SEC and ACC. The Wolfpack are trying to buck some history, as the team has not won over an SEC team in a decade and now they will get another chance. The team lost their final game of the regular season against North Carolina and before that the team won over Syracuse and lost to Florida State.
Dak Prescott is the player to watch in this game, as this will be his final go for the Bulldogs and he has put up some impressive numbers in his time with the team. Prescott comes in after throwing for 25 touchdowns and just four picks this season with 3413 yards and he also has added 541 rushing yards and another 10 TDs on the ground.
Both of these teams have had tough schedules this season and they have combined to lose games to teams like Clemson, Alabama, LSU, Louisville and Florida State and now the two will battle to end the season. Jacoby Brissett comes in with 19 TDs and four picks this season for NC State, while Matthew Dayes has rushed for 865 yards and 12 touchdowns. Jaylen Samuels has been the top receiver for the team with 64 catches for 599 yard and seven TDs this season.
Prescott has been the leading rusher for the Bulldogs this season and he should put up some solid numbers in this game against the Wolfpack defense. Fred Ross is leading the team in receiving and comes in with 81 catches for 933 yards and four scores. Prescott put up some of the best numbers in the SEC this season and he will be looking to end his career on a high note after the team lost against Ole Miss to end the season.
