The Nets, the team that was eagerly chasing after Dwight Howard. The Nets, the team who Deron Williams encouraged not to solely base their offseason on just one player, so they sought after Joe Johnson and resigned their front court while boosting their bench with the acquisition of CJ Watson.
With all of these stars, the Nets are off to a 7-2 start trailing only the Knicks and the Grizzlies.
As for the Lakers, they are finally getting a hang of things after firing Coach Mike Brown and his Princeton offense. Whatever that was, it did not work.
The Lakers have some conditioning to do following the signing of Mike D'Antoni.
It has been a season full of drama early on. The Lakers went after Phil Jackson, but later informed him they had signe D'Antoni. Recently, Howard said he didn't care if his signing with the Lakers tarnished his friendship with Deron Williams.
D'Antoni is expected to coach tonight and both D-Will and Howard will be on the floor facing each other.
Drama or not, this game features two teams with top ranked talent in the NbA.
