Josh Norman #24 of the Carolina Panthers and Odell Beckham #13 of the New York Giants get involved after a play during the first half on December 20, 2015 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Panthers defeated the Giants 38-35. "

The NFL has upheld the 1 game suspension of New York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Beckham cannot practice with the Giants or play in Sunday's week 16 game.

Beckham met with NFL appeals officer James Thrash to find out his fate on Wednesday only to discover that his appeal had been denied. Beckham made an apology to the Giants as well as the fans for allowing his emotions to hurt the team. Beckham not being on the field is a major blow for the Giants as well as fantasy owners all around the world.

With the fantasy football championships as well as an NFC East title up for grabs Beckham's absence will loom large over week 16. The Vikings have been red hot lately and will look to earn a playoff spot with a win this week at home.

The Giants will likely need to win out to make the playoffs however without Beckham for half of that time, it seems almost impossible. Beckham accounts for a ton of the Giants' offense and without him on the field it will be difficult to get anything going in the ground game. The loss of Beckham will have a major impact in week 16.
