The Miami Dolphins have had a frustrating season in 2015 and moving forward the team has some major decisions to make, as the team will need a new head coach after letting go of Joe Philbin. The team lost to the Chargers on Sunday and in that game Jay Ajayi was favored over Lamar Miller, who expressed some unhappiness about his role after the game in Week 15.

The Dolphins have been inconsistent all season and now they are 5-9 heading into the final weeks of the year. The team could end up with a top five draft pick depending on how things go and that was not how the season was expected to turn out for many involved in the organization. Ndamukong Suh was signed to a big contract and Ryan Tannehill inked an extension, but both players have been up and down at times this year.

Philbin was let go and the major decision for Stephen Ross and the team is whether to keep Dan Campbell in after he took over as the interim coach or if the team should go for a high profile candidate. While Campbell has done a solid job and has the support from many of the players, it's likely that Ross goes for a big name to take over. According to CBS Sports, Ross may consider Bears coordinator Adam Gase and Patriots coordinator Josh McDaniels., while Saints head coach Sean Payton has also been mentioned as a potential option.

Payton is still with the Saints and while he may be let go at the end of the season, there is a chance he could stay, which could bring a team like the Dolphins into the mix for a trade. The Saints are in transition and after a long run with the team, the Saints could be willing to make a move to allow Payton to go to South Beach. Jason La Canfora reports that the team likely will see what value is out there for Payton and if the Dolphins are willing to deal, the sides could work out a trade.

The Dolphins also will have to make a decision on Lamar Miller this offseason, as he is set to be a free agent. Miller has been great at times this season, but he also has been passed over for Jay Ajayi and Damien Williams at times, including last week against the Chargers. Miller showed some frustration after the game against San Diego after not getting much work in the second half, saying to the Palm Beach Post that "yeah, I feel like I could help this team win. I'm pretty sure everybody wanted to be on the field competing with their teammates and ... I don't know."

The Dolphins have been dealing with numerous injuries on the offensive line this season and on Sunday they saw center Mike Pouncey go down with an injury. According to Pro Football Talk, Pouncey was carted off the field in the third quarter after being rolled up on in a pileup, suffering a leg injury.
