The Atlanta Hawks host the Orlando Magic Monday evening for their game at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Both the Hawks and the Magic are off to slow starts following an offseason where they lost their biggest players.
The Hawks are without Joe Johnson and the Magic without Dwight Howard.
However, the Magic are a team many didn't think would compete anyways as they have started their 2012-2013 campaign 3-6.
The Haws on the other hand have enough talent left over where they can make a push in the east. Yes, Johnson is almost impossible to replace, but they still have Josh Smith, Al Harford and Jeff Teague, who have led the team to a 4-4 start.
These three guys are in charge of the scoring in Atlanta and they have playoff experience under their belts.
For the Magic, it might take them a couple of years before they can be considered legitimate threats in the east. They are going through a period where everybody is stronger, the Heat, the Knicks, the Celtics, the Nets and the Bucks now have a season under their belts with their new found talent.
