Miami Dolphins Rumors: Jarvis Landry Injury Serious? Rishard Matthews Out Week 14 as DeVante Parker, Kenny Stills, Greg Jennings Help Ryan Tannehill

The Miami Dolphins will play in the nationals spotlight on Monday as they prepare to take on the New York Giants. Both teams are in need of major improving as they look to get the win in Week 13. For the Dolphins, while they are coming off a win against the Baltimore Ravens, they impressed no one and need to play better. However, injuries could hurt the effort as Rishard Matthews will be out while Jarvis Landry is limited.

According to James Walker of ESPN.com, Matthews is ruled out against the Giants as the receiver prepares to miss his second game with rib and chest issues. The ruling out of Matthews is not a surprise for anyone as he was not expected to return right away, but the inclusion of Landry to the injury list is worrisome. According to Walker, Landry is likely to play, but that does not mean he is not hurting. The receiver is reportedly dealing with a knee injury that he played on last week, but failed to make an impact because of it. The same could be expected in Week 14 as he was limited in practice all week.

With injuries to Matthews and Landry, Monday could be the DeVante Parker show for the Dolphins who will give the rookie his second start of the season. Parker has seen more time on the field lately as he has two touchdowns in two straight games. Parker told the media that he is gaining plenty of confidence and trust with Ryan Tannehill and it is paying off on the field as his body finally feels healthy.

"I think we're just starting to scratch the surface," Tannehill said, via ESPN.com. "I think that obviously we saw his talent flash a couple times last weekend and it's building. You've seen it kind of grow over the past five or six weeks as he's starting to get more playing time and more comfortable with what we are doing out on the field. He's really able to relax and go play and be the player that he is."

Tannehill has a lot of pressure on his arm right now. The quarterback managed just 86 yards of passing offense in Week 13, something that will not fly against the Giants. The team's secondary could make for a long day for the quarterback if he fails to turn things around. Meanwhile, Lamar Miller and Jay Ajayi are ready to bail the quarterback out against the Giants as the run game improves in Miami.
