The Dallas Cowboys won on Monday to remain alive in the NFC East race and if they make the playoffs, Tony Romo could return from an injury to start at quarterback. Dez Bryant is dealing with a foot injury, but the issue is not considered a serious one heading into Week 14, making him a solid fantasy option for team owners along with Darren McFadden and Jason Witten.

The Cowboys are now 4-8 on the season after winning over the Redskins on Monday night and they are still alive for the NFC East division title. The team has another game against the Redskins and they are just a game back of the Redskins, Eagles and Giants in the division standings. The Cowboys are hoping they can sneak into the playoffs, as the team could have Tony Romo back after the quarterback re-injured his collarbone on Thanksgiving.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, head coach Jason Garrett said that the team has not placed Romo on injured reserve yet because the team still is alive for the playoffs. Owner Jerry Jones said the same thing last week and Garrett added that the Cowboys are supporting Matt Cassel with Romo out, but that the playoffs could put Romo back under center. The team may need some help to get there, but with the NFC East as weak as it is, they have as good of a chance as anyone to win it.

Romo is expected to be out for around six to eight weeks and that would put him in position to come back in the playoffs if he doesn't suffer any setbacks. According to Ed Werder of ESPN, the Cowboys have "no doubt" that Romo would come back and risk another fracture to his collarbone if he is eventually cleared to play. Romo said after the Thanksgiving game that he knew the risk of coming back from his original collarbone injury and that he had no regrets about playing.

Matt Cassel won a game for the Cowboys for the first time in five starts and if he can keep winning, the Cowboys will be able to stay in contention for the playoffs. The team almost has to go undefeated over the final four games to make it, but if they go 3-1, the one game they lose can't be against the Redskins. Cassel is going to get more chances to start and the team is hoping that he can play well enough to get the Cowboys into the playoffs.

Dez Bryant came into Monday night dealing with a foot injury, but he was listed as probable and did not show any signs of the injury slowing him down against the Redskins. Bryant said the injury was not serious last week and it should not be an issue for Bryant heading into the game against the Packers. Jason Witten and Darren McFadden remain solid fantasy options with Matt Cassel starting, while Bryant and Terrance Williams are the best WR options.
