The NY Giants could not hang onto their lead in the NFC East against on Sunday and after the game both Odell Beckham and Tom Coughlin expressed frustration with the performance against the Washington Redskins. The game saw the Giants lose Geoff Schwartz to an injury and heading into Week 13 the team has Justin Pugh and Weston Richburg back in practice.

The Giants offense was not able to get much going early in the game against the Redskins and while the team made a comeback in the second half, it was not enough to win. Odell Beckham made another amazing catch to help get the Giants closer, but the team was not consistent through the game and struggled on third down. Beckham spoke about the performance of the team after the game and said that the team needs "more fight" and that there "is no time to slack off."

Beckham and the Giants play against the Jets this week and the game is very important for both teams in the standings if they want to stay in the playoffs mix. The Giants now have to hope that the Redskins falter, as Washington has a better divisional record and has multiple games against the Cowboys coming up. The Giants have the Eagles to end the season and they have a tough schedule with the Carolina Panthers and Minnesota Vikings still to come.

The Giants offensive line came into the game dealing with injury issues with Pugh and Richburg out against Washington and the team also lost Geoff Schwartz in the game. According to Pro Football Talk, Schwartz was placed on IR with a broken leg and now he will be out for the season. The team added Adam Gettis to make up for the roster spot and now Schwartz will be done for the year. Tom Coughlin said that he "hopes" to have one or both of Pugh and Richburg back this week.

Newsday reports that both players are practicing this week for the Giants, but it is not certain if they will be able to play on Sunday. Pugh is dealing with a concussion and is trying to come back from that, while Richburg has a high ankle sprain and will test it out in practice to see if he can play this weekend. Pro Football Talk reports that both players likely will be limited in practice.

The Giants could have taken hold of the NFC East with a win on Sunday and now they will have to battle down the stretch to make the playoffs. The team has the Jets, Dolphins, Panthers, Vikings and Eagles on the schedule to finish the season.
