Miami Dolphins Rumors: Lamar Miller Starter, Jay Ajayi Fantasy Pickup Option, Jonas Gray Returns, DeVante Parker Out Week 10 for Ryan Tannehill?

The Miami Dolphins are coming into Week 10 after losing to the Bills and the team is hoping to bounce back against the Eagles and players like Lamar Miller, Jay Ajayi and Jarvis Landry are the best fantasy start options for the team this week. DeVante Parker missed last week and could be out for Week 10 with an injury for Ryan Tannehill.

The Dolphins offense looked great in the first two games under Dan Campbell, but the team has lost two in a row after starting 2-0 under the interim head coach. Lamar Miller has been getting the ball more and that makes him a quality fantasy starter for team owners. The Dolphins averaged 40 points per game in the first two matchups under Campbell, but they have lost two straight and those were divisional games against the Patriots and the Bills.

The Dolphins still are on the cusp of the playoff picture in the AFC and if they can reel off a few wins in the next month, they have a chance at a wild card spot. The team plays the Eagles this week and Philadelphia is looking to stay in the mix in the NFC East and that makes this a huge game for both teams. Ryan Tannehill has been inconsistent over the past two games and the team hopes that getting Ajayi off of IR can help balance the offense a bit.

Miller has played well, but the running game overall needs to do better and that could help boost things for Tannehill in the passing game. Miller has 478 yards this season and in two of his last four games he has been over 110 yards, but those came in the wins for the Dolphins. Over the past two games Miller has not been as productive and the return of Ajayi could cut into that a bit. Ajayi was out since the preseason with a rib injury and was activated last week.

Ajayi had a solid debut against the Bills, rushing eight times for 41 yards and he could be in line for more carries moving forward. According to the Palm Beach Post, Campbell said that Ajayi has "earned more carries" after how he played against the Bills. The Dolphins have been looking for a steady backup for Miller, as the team has used Jonas Gray and Damien Williams this season. Ajayi is a versatile back and he comes into the NFL after putting up over 2000 total yards in his final season at Boise State, scoring 32 total touchdowns and Miami is hoping that can translate into production at the pro level.

The Dolphins released Gray, but he is now returning to the practice squad, according to Fox Sports. The Patriots may have considered claiming Gray after losing Dion Lewis to an injury, but he made it through waivers and is now back with Miami. According to the Miami Herald, Parker could be out again while dealing with a foot issue after having surgery earlier in the summer.
