Los Angeles Dodgers Rumors: Hyun-Jin Ryu Bid Won by L.A.?

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been rumored to winning the bid for Korean 25-year-old left hander, Hyun-Jin Ryu, according to ESPN's Buster Olney. 

The official winner of the bid has yet to be announced, but Olney suspects the Dodgers walked out from the negotiating table on top. 

What does Ryu pack?
This guy has a hadouken of his own in the form of a change up. Scouts have said he is MLB ready and the pitch can get big leaguers out.

The 6' 2" 215 pounder has a fastball between 90-95, slider and a curveball. 

Track Record
Do not be fooled by his age, this youngster has been pitching since 2006. That year he was the 2011 Justin Verlander of the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) as he went on to win almost every important pitching award. He captured the Rookie of the Year and the MVP. Ryu also finished with the pitchers' Triple Crown after an 18-6, 2.23 ERA with 204 strikeouts in 201.2 innings pitched. 

In his second year he almost matched his 2006 record going 17-7. Nonetheless, an excellent season from the then 19-year-old Ryu. 

Ryu also has international hardware as he won the 2009 gold medal game for South Korea. 

How much was the bid?
Yeah, if the Dodgers really won the bid, fans might want to close their eyes or make sure they're sitting. According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports the winning bid was $25,373,737.33.
