Green Bay Packers

Davante Adams/Randall Cobb/ James Jones (Wide Receivers): Cobb or Jones should see Josh Norman, the Panthers star shutdown cornerback and their fantasy production should suffer tremendously for it. Norman can blanket receivers in coverage forcing them to low point totals. Adams should see plenty of work against the Panthers second corner which could make him a valuable flex starter.

Eddie Lacy/James Starks (Running Backs): The Panthers allow 113.7 yards per game so Lacy should see the majority of opportunities against this Carolina defense. Starks is averaging around 6 less carries than Lacy so he may not be a viable fantasy option this week. Lacy seems to be carrying the load for this offense for the rest of the season so he is a solid RB2 this week.

Aaron Rodgers (Quarterback): The Panthers defense has given up the 4th fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks all season long so it would not be a shock to see Rodgers struggle this week. Rodgers struggled when faced with pressure and great coverage in week 8 and he could be faced with the same issues in week 9. The Panthers have only allowed 7 touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks so Rodgers will be a low tier QB 2 with QB 1 upside this week.

Carolina Panthers

Cam Newton (Quarterback): Newton is facing a very vulnerable Packers defense that has been given up a ton of passing yards in the last two weeks. They are especially bad against quarterbacks who can run the football especially Cam Newton. Newton has been the best quarterback at getting yards on the ground this year so it would be no surprise that he would be the best chance at the Panthers beating the Packers. Newton should have a chance to put up some significant production this week.

Jonathan Stewart (Running Back): Stewart will face a defense that was gashed for over 100 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground last week. Stewart has had some productive games in the last few weeks, and should be leaned on to control the clock in this game. It would be a surprise if he went off and had a brig time game a typically stable defense.

Greg Olsen (Tight End): The Packers have given up the 7th most fantasy points to tight ends this season and Olsen is the only sure target that Cam Newton has in the passing game. Olsen had a huge game last week and should see a ton of targets in the passing game in week 9. Olsen is a solid TE 1 option this week.
