The New York Jets are coming off a disappointing loss to the New England Patriots and must now bounce back against the Oakland Raiders. Injuries are making that tough as the team is now looking at several free agent options to help add emergence depth to the roster. While Chris Ivory admits that he is dealing with hamstring issues, the Jets could make a roster move before Week 8.

Ivory confirmed that he was hampered by hamstring injuries against the Patriots that forced him to have one of his worst games of the season. New York has been relying heavily on Ivory this year as the workhorse of the offense and having him injured reflected in the stalling offense against New England. As a result, the Jets have brought in free agents to look at. According to Rich Cimini of ESPN, both Jeff Demps and Akeem Hunt worked out for the Jets. The free agent market also features Pierre Thomas and Montee Ball who could be quality additions.

The Jets need Ivory. Bilal Powell has been dealing with a groin injury that has kept him off the field for the past two weeks. Stevan Ridley was also inactive. The running back is coming back from a knee injury and while many thought he would play in Week 7, he was inactive. That left Zac Stacy to help out Ivory and both rushers were not enough. Ivory downplayed the severity of the hamstring injury, saying it is merely tight and not strained.

"I felt it getting a little tight on the first play," Ivory said, via NJ.com. "The hammy wasn't warm enough. Towards the second half, I got a little loose. I tried to get going a little too early without being as warm as I usually am. I didn't want to pull it. As far as getting around the edge, I didn't feel like I had the ability to get around the corner. I didn't feel like I had it, going around the corner. I know at times, I probably could've taken the corner, but I didn't have it in me."

The Jets were not happy with their offensive output on Sunday. Brandon Marshall admitted that he "got into it" with teammates following the loss. While he opted not to elaborate more, Marshall could be upset over the lack of help he is getting. Ryan Fitzpatrick has been forced to rely on Marshall and Eric Decker as the rest of the receiving group remains inconsistent on the season. The Jets need players like Jeremy Kerley and Devin Smith to step up and play a bigger role in order to open the offense up more.
