NFL News and Rumors: DeSean Jackson Victim of Home Invasion At Los Angeles House

Oct 23, 2015 03:00 PM EDT

DeSean Jackson has been the victim of a home invasion that appears to be gang related.

Four to five men stormed Jackson's Los Angeles home with guns however they were not counting on the fact that Jackson was not home but around 6 individuals were who fought back. One of the defenders of Jackson's house was pistol whipped and others suffered minor injuries.

The intruders eventually were fought off and fled the area.

Los Angeles police officers arrived at the home shortly after the incident and took a report. One thing that was clear from this incident was that the intruders knew how to maneuver around the house and appeared to have been there before. They strategically avoided most of the security cameras in the house. Police do not believe Jackson was the primary target however it was one of his associates inside the house that had apparently been staying with him.

The LAPD believe the incident to be gang related however Jackson has vehemently denied being in a gang in the past. The Philadelphia Eagles released Jackson amongst a cloud of allegations that he was an active gang member. The Redskins took a chance on Jackson however with this latest incident it makes you wonder if they made the right decision.

Jackson has been injured for a large portion of this 2015 season but I am sure this is not the type of attention they wanted Jackson to garner.
