The ALCS MLB playoffs series between the Kansas City Royals and Toronto Blue Jays starts on Friday with Game 1 and the TV coverage is from Fox for the postseason matchup. The live stream coverage will be on the Fox Sports Go website and the first game of the series starts at 8:07 pm ET and will have Marcos Estrada against Edinson Volquez for the pitching duel.

The Blue Jays won over the Rangers in Game 5 of one of the wildest playoff games ever and they advanced to the championship series for the first time since 1993 when they won the World Series. The Royals were here last season and they won over the Houston Astros to advance into the ALCS with a win in Game 5 of the ALDS. The Royals were the top team in the AL and they will host the series opener and the second game at Kauffman Stadium.

These two teams previously played in the ALCS in 1985 and most of the players in this series were not even born yet when that happened. The Blue Jays game against the Rangers was wild and the team will try and bring that emotion into this series. The team is bringing in Estrada to start game one and then the team will have David Price and Marcus Stroman before RA Dickey takes the mound. The Jays have depth in the rotation and they also have a very powerful lineup with Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion.

The Royals rotation likely will have Volquez, Yordano Ventura, Johnny Cueto and possibly Kris Medlen and the team is hoping Cueto can keep up his strong pitching after winning in Game 5. This series should have plenty of intrigue, as both teams are starved for a championship and the Blue Jays have the entire nation of Canada pulling for them.

The Royals had to make a major comeback in Game 4 against the Astros and they did that last year in multiple games and now they have to try and get past the Blue Jays. The team never thinks they are out of a game and that could put Toronto's bullpen up against things late in games. The Jays have been playing better than anyone over the last few months and they have carried that into the playoffs. The wild nature of Game 5 could make the team feel they are destined to get to the World Series.

The first game of the series is on Friday and the second game will be on Saturday from Kauffman Stadium for Game 2. The Game 3 matchup is on Monday from Toronto, while Game 4 will be on Tuesday. Game 5 is also from Toronto before the series shifts back to Kansas City for the final two games.
